Surviving skills

Drowning is the leading cause of injury or death in children aged 1-4.

Learn to swim

We offer a variety of learn-to-swim programs. For all ages and levels.

Competitive swimming

As competitive swimmers, they compete to be the fastest.

According to groundbreaking research, led by The Griffith Institute of Educational Research, found that kids who are active in swimming lessons at an early age, “On average, these children were eleven months ahead of the normal population in Oral Expression, six months ahead in Mathematics Reasoning and two months ahead in Brief Reading. As well as achieving physical milestones faster, the swimming children scored significantly better in visual-motor skills such as cutting paper, coloring-in, and drawing lines and shapes“ professor Jorgensen said.

Lessons for Any Level and Any Age

Swim lessons help adults and children become more comfortable in the water and teach them to float and safely operate in the water. This also empowers them to attend pool parties and enjoy social time with their friends in and around the water.

Studies show that the best time for a child to start learning swim basics is between the ages of 1 and 4. However, infants aged 6 months to 3 years can participate in “Parent and Me” Lessons to start enjoying and getting acclimated to the water.

“Parent and Me” classes are a guided water experience using songs and games to build confidence, develop motor skills, and teach personal water safety to parents and children.

Swimming strengthens your baby on the inside. While swimming will help to develop their muscles and joints, it also improves the strength of their heart and lungs and helps to develop their brain. Swimming can improve their sleeping pattern.

The study determined that swimming helps to advance cognitive development by as much as 10 months ahead of the normal population. Cognitive development has to do with higher levels of reasoning in areas like reading, writing, and arithmetic.

For three-to-four-year-old children, learning to swim activities should concentrate on building basic swimming skills that lead to good freestyle and backstroke technique

By 3 years of age, children are mentally and physically ready to master the demands of beginner swimming. The CDC says that participation in formal swim lessons can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88%.

In our first class, I will teach your children safety skills. After they learn how to survive on their own in the water, I will start teaching them more advanced strokes (freestyle and backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly, in that order). Starting from the first class, I will focus on correct breathing/bubbles, body and head position, and correct kicks, as they are the fundamentals of swimming and will make learning advanced strokes a lot easier in the future

Most swim teams have their trials at the beginning of the season in September. Most of them expect children know the basics of all 4 advanced strokes before turning 8 years old. For older kids, the quality of their swimming technique needs to be even better. I would be very happy to help prepare your child for swim team trials.

I am an ex-pro swimmer and pro coach, with a master’s degree in sports science. I will work on physical and mental ability development in all four strokes and every element of racing. I will also work on correcting swimming techniques and achieving efficient swimming. I plan for before the race, the race itself, and after the race. I also give coaching on eating habits and everything else, as needed.

I will engage you in a conversation to understand what you need. Based on that we will plan together to reach your goals.

As an ex-pro triathlete, ex-pro swimmer, and now pro swim coach, I would be happy to help you to reach any swim goals you have.

During the summer, many teenagers like to hang out at the beach with their friends. Most of them want to be Lifeguards and make some money in the process. Still, there are some requirements for passing the swim test.

I can help… My preparation is designed to equip your teenager with the skills and knowledge to deal with a variety of scenarios in and around the water during the Lifeguard course. I can advise you on which courses to attend, depending on your preferences, and how and where to apply for a job.

Life tends to stand in the way sometimes, so I have lots of respect for people who decide to learn to swim when they are adults. If you have a passion to learn, I would be happy to help you achieve your goals. I love teaching adults; at whatever level you may be at. I focus on each person’s individual needs. Swimming is an important life skill and will take some time. You need to be ready and persistent. Is also one of the best forms of exercise when we get to a certain age. Many of us will get or have joint and back problems that will not allow us to perform as much physical activity, but then swimming comes in very handy. When you enter the water, you do not feel your weight, and there will be no pressure on your joints or back. Any movement in the water will give you great muscles and cardio exercise. Every investment in swim classes will be worth it.

Why Learning To Swim Early Matters

According to groundbreaking research, led by The Griffith Institute of Educational Research, found that kids who are active in swimming lessons at an early age, “On average, these children were eleven months ahead of the normal population in Oral Expression, six months ahead in Mathematics Reasoning and two months ahead in Brief Reading. As well as achieving physical milestones faster, the swimming children scored significantly better in visual-motor skills such as cutting paper, coloring-in, and drawing lines and shapes“ professor Jorgensen said.

There is much more to learning to swim than just preventing drowning. That is huge enough but there is more. Here are just a few more amazing benefits of starting swim lessons in early childhood.

Results of Griffith University studies found that children who attend swimming lessons at an early age, on average, are seven months ahead on motor skills developmental milestones than the children who didn’t. Children are more advanced when it comes to balancing coordination, drawing, using utensils, and building with blocks.

Also, the same Griffith University revealed a study that all early age kids who are involved in swim lessons could be as much as up to 10 months ahead. The study determined that young kids who are active in swimming lessons can reach levels of reasoning in writing, reading, and arithmetic significantly faster than other children of the same age.

All commands, directions, colors, and counting, in the swimming class, are important building blocks for language learning. Studies found that from swimming lessons children can count to ten upwards, ahead of their peers by two years. Just from taking swimming lessons, the language development of your child can be significantly advanced.

Early childhood swimming lessons help not just with success in cognitive development, but also socially and emotionally. It is proven that by having interactions and establishing listening skills with someone new, children can progress as much as a year ahead, socially, of their peers

Introducing swimming lessons so your child can not only help to ensure their safety in and around the water but significantly advance their development.

What Parents Say

Crystal W Mom of a boy and a girl

We are very pleased to have Gago as a private swimming coach for both of our kids. She is professional, passionate, and experienced. My kids are of different swimming levels. She gives my little one lessons that are full of fun and excitement, as well as with a focus on building solid foundations. For the older kid, Gaga sets up a customized plan to correct her kicking, reinforce a better breaching pattern, and improve her stroke techniques. She sets up clear goals for each kid and we have seen our kids' making steady progress every week. My kids look forward to their dasses with Goga. She not only help improve my kids' swimming skills but also inspired my kids to be more confident and passionate about water sports. We would love to recommend Gaga to anyone who is looking for a professional swimming coach.

Aila A Mom of a boy and a girl

Just after taking a few lessons with Goga, my kids learned to swim. I wasted months with other instructors and my kids never learned much. Gaga is just beyond amazing. She is fabulous with the children, absolutely incredible, and wildly talented. Both of my kids adore her. I really cannot say enough good things and Gogo is the best you will get.

Josh and Pam Parents of a boy and a girl

Mom of a Boy and G Goga is absolutely fantastic. She is extremely warm, generous with her time, knowledgeable, and super responsive. Our son is obsessed with her and loves his swim lessons. Gogo is incredible with our three. Year- old boy and he has become so much more comfortable in the water in just a few classes. She makes the lessons so much fun, yet she is always teaching him how to be safe and how to swim proficiently. I've also brought our one-and-a-half- year-old girl in for a couple of lessons and Gaga has been wonderful with her too. If you want someone to teach your kids how to swim well and to love the water, there is no one better than Gaga.

Helon C Mom of a boy and a girl

Both my children have been taking swimming classes with Gaga. My daughter was very anxious by nature. She was at another swim school for about 6 months and couldn't leam anything. After she started lessons with Gogo, she made amazing progress and started to swim after just a few lessons. It's the same thing with my son. Big progress in a short period. Gaga is always very patient, encouraging. professional, and energetic with amazing motivation skills. I am so glad that I have found, Goga!

Christal Los Angeles, CA, 40 years

Gogs is an amazing teacher and coach. She is patient but pushed me to swim with the proper technique despite the bad swim habits I started off with. I leamed to streamline and work toward other strokes. I'd hire Dragana again in a heartbeat! -Christal (Los Angeles, CA, 40 years old)

Dia "Parent and Me" class , 1 year old

Working with Gogo was such a pleasure. My daughter was immediately drawn to her, something that doesn't normally happen. My daughter is now two but worked with Gogo when she was still an infant. She learned so much from her. It was so rewarding to see how quickly she picked up things. This is due to being so comfortable with her teacher. With little kids, this really, really matters. With her, she was very at ease in the water, holding her breath and blowing bubbles. She loved to do airplanes with Goga and we could always expect the best exploding high fives with her. Goga is so great with kids and you would expect them to learn a lot when they're comfortable. Now my daughter has put together her arms and legs, the very beginning signs of being able to swim on her own. This was all thanks to Goga!

E.V. Dad of a girl

Gaga is simply phenomenal! Her attention to detail and constant reinforcement led to such a remarkable improvement in our daughter's swimming. I cannot thank her enough for all the work she did!

Priyanka S.K. Mom of boy and girl

Both my children and I love Gaga's classes. We have learnt a lot and come a long way from when we started. We look forward to continuing working with her!

Jess M. Mom of girl and 2 baby girl twins

Gaga is an incredible teacher! She is very intuitive and instills trust in the children easily. She helps children build up their strength and breathing no matter what level swimmer they are. She has been especially incredible with my daughter who has trouble hearing. Gaga has been incredibly patient and has found ways to communicate with her in the water. Our daughter has improved significantly and is now swimming unassisted!

Elizabet H. Mom of baby boy

Gaga has been fantastic! Teddy has made so much progress in the months she has been teaching him. He is so comfortable in the water, knows to hold his breath, loves jumping in himself and has started naturally kicking and floating.

Kiwon S. Mom of boy

Gaga is an amazing swim teacher who is gentle yet firm and brings out the best in our son.

Melissa Mom of girl

Gaga is the first teacher my daughter feels comfortable with and is actually learning to swim!

Nicole N. Mom of girl and boy
